We are excited to share that we now have doughnuts available at all of our locations! We love them because they are another perfect and classic pairing with coffee.
We love the playfulness of a doughnut. It's a childhood favorite and it allows us to play around with some fun flavor combinations and seasonal ingredients that will pair well with seasonal coffees. Cake doughnuts in particular are better at soaking up liquid and this is why they pair so well.
Setups will include fresh fruits, jams, craft chocolate ganaches, infused/caramelized sugars, fresh herbs, maple bacon and more! With this rotating menu of ingredients, we will create flavors that will pair with seasonal coffees. The cake will also change up at times to say blueberry, strawberry, peach, or chocolate depending on the donut and season.
An essential part to our doughnuts is that they are baked, not fried. This makes them better flavor carriers and stays with our vision of fresh baked and seasonal. We've never deep fried anything at Barista Parlor and feel our version of cake doughnuts will be a more focused treat instead of another deep fried dough ball covered in sugar glaze.
Today we launched the Strawberry Cream Cheese, Cinnamon/Sugar, and S'more. But soon we will add in some flavors like chocolate with toasted coconut, The "Elvis", a maple candied bacon, and some fruits!
